Natural stone weighs roughly 2.7 g/cm³ (marble, granite, quartzite all sit between 2.6 and 2.8). Weight decides crating, forklift class and freight cost.
How many slabs fit a sea container is a weight question, not a volume one: a 20ft box maxes out around 26 t payload, a 40ft around 27 t — slabs hit the weight limit long before they fill the space.
Assumes 2.7 t/m³ and ~8% allowance for A-frames and crating. Payload limits vary by carrier and road rules at destination — confirm with the forwarder.
